Nachimuthu Polytechnic College (NPTC) is a Government aided co-educational Institution established in the year 1957 and is affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Govt. of Tamilnadu. The institute is located 3 kms away from Pollachi on the Coimbatore - Dindugal National Highway (NH 209) in a wide area of 60 acres with a serene atmosphere. The institute started with 3 Diploma programmes and student strength of around 120 at the time of establishment has now grown as a polytechnic of excellence offering 12 Diploma Programmes and one Post Diploma programme with student strength of around 1300 students. The Institute has been granted full autonomous status from the start of the academic year 1991-92. Nachimuthu Polytechnic College offers quality education to produce effective and competent professionals to meet the growing demands of the industry. With the visionary management, experienced educators and industrial linkages, NPTC is a niche provider of quality education for the past 50 years. Close proximity of the institute and linkages established with industries enable students to acquire up-to-date skills through training. Nachimuthu Polytechnic College started its community service from the year 1985 for the cause of rural development through the Community Polytechnic Scheme of the Govt. of India. So far it has imparted skill training to around 12,000 rural youth of this region. This has been one of the factors for the establishment of Sakthi Pura. The institute has been awarded with ISO 9001:2000 certificate in December 2001 by STQC, Government of India, New Delhi

Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology ( MCET ) established in the year 1998 is a private, self financing, ­co-educational institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE ) and is affiliated to the Anna University. The college is located on the Coimbatore – Dindugal National Highway ( NH-209) in 29 acres of land at Pollachi. The college offers 8 Engineering and 3 Applied Science undergraduate programmes in various disciplines and 5 postgraduate programmes and 2 doctoral programmes. The institute has been awarded with ISO 9001:2000 certificate by TUV Rhineland. Also it is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation ( NBA ). The college has excellent infrastructure with well equipped, state-of-the-art labs, 24 mbps internet connectivity with 16 Mbps, intranet, linking more than 1500 computers with Optic Fibre Cables ( OFC ). More than 13 Value Added centres ( VAC ) are established in the MCET campus, in partnership with world famous knowledge and skill providers.

The Chairman emirates Arutchelvar Dr.N.Mahalingam Ayya vision is enlighten the knowledge and skill on the modern farming technology to the young people who can take up agriculture profitably with enhanced productivity and sustainability by conserving the natural resources like land, water and ecosystem. With the support of Dr.B.K.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, this institute is managed and guided by Dr.M.Manickam, Chairman, Mrs.K.Karpakavalli,Correspondent and Professor C.Ramaswamy, Secretary. Vanavarayar Institute of Agriculture was established in Manakkadavu village in 2007.The college is situated 19 kms away from Pollachi in an area of 250 acres having good water resources throughout the year. Our college is affiliated to TNAU Coimbatore. At present the VIA offers four year professional B.Sc (Agri.) degree course and two year Diploma in Agriculture course with a sanctioned strength of 120 in B.Sc. (Agri.) and 50 in Diploma in Agriculture. The total student strength of VIA is 697.Out of which 400 are girls.

Thiru. T. Ganesan, Head Master of this renowned school, Palani Gounder Higher Secondary School [PGHSS] was established in the year 1995 is located in NPTC-MCET Campus at Pollachi. The institute offers only higher secondary programmes in one group under general stream and 4 groups under vocational stream in Tamil and English mediums.

Mariammal Girls Higher Secondary School was established in the year 2000 is located at Mahalingapuram, Pollachi. The institute offers instructions in Tamil and English from 6th to 10th standard and higher secondary programmes in 4 groups. Tmt. G.Sornamani is the Headmistress of this school who administrates the school. Tmt. T.ManjulaDevi is the Higher Secondary In-Charge.

Thiru. P.Sivasamy is the Head Master of this esteemed school.The institute offers instructions in Tamil and English from 6th to 10th standard and higher secondary programmes in 3 groups. Tmt. Rukmaniammal Higher Secondary School was established in the year 1991 is located at Jothi Nagar campus and NGM College campus at Pollachi.
